There are over 50 different types of window films designed to solve different problems relating to glass: reduce heat gain and glare and improve comfort while lowering both cooling and heating costs. Window films are designed to stop specific types of radiation that can be harmful. Most films can block out over 96% of ultraviolet radiation, a leading cause of fading. Some films are designed to stop blue light that is bad for high tech clean room electronics manufacturing. Other films are specifically designed to make glass stronger and more shatter resistant. Still others are made to be abused and then discarded thereby thwarting graffiti crime and vandalism. Simply put, if you have a problem with windows or any type of glass, there is a window film to solve the problem

Will window film help lower utility costs all year round?

How should I clean my windows after film is applied?
Windows with film applied are easily cleaned without damage to their appearance as long as a few common-sense guidelines are followed:

1. Use a soft clean cloth, soft paper towel, or clean synthetic sponge.

2. Use a soft cloth or squeegee for drying the window.

3. Use any normal glass cleaning solution which contains no abrasive materials.

The availability of scratch resistant coatings as a standard feature of quality films has virtually eliminated the need for extra special precautions in cleaning.

Will window film kill my house plants?
In most cases if a house plant is already receiving adequate light the use of window film will not harm it. New growth or flowering may be retarded, and, for a few days, a plant may go into a state of shock while it adjusts to the light change. If a particular plant normally wilts by the end of a sunny day, it will actually thrive better with film installed. Although there are some obvious guidelines in determining what, if any, effect window film will have on a plant (for instance, dark green plants need less light than lighter colored ones), there is one sample test which can be done prior to film installation: merely move the plant to an area with less sunlight for a few days. In addition, most nurseries or local agriculture agencies can advise you whether a particular plant needs closer to maximal or minimal light.

Does window film have to be dark to keep out the heat & UV rays?
No. With the technology in both our residential and commercial films, lighter metallic films will perform better than traditional dyed films.

Can film be applied to 'Low-E' glass?
Absolutely. Low Emissivity glass is a more energy efficient glass for most seasons, we can make it better. With extreme temperatures, Low-E glass can fall well short of the level of protection window film can provide.

Does your window film require special care?
No. All of our films are safe to clean with any window cleaners. Because of their scratch resistant coatings, any soft cloth or paper towel will do.

Can I still see out of my home once film is applied, day or night?
Yes. applying window film will improve your view by reducing the glare and allow you to see true colors when looking out. At night interior reflection is kept to a minimum. This allows you to not lose your night time visibility.

Do your products come with a warranty?
